jr. league basketball adds grade

    Seymour Jr. League Basketball is adding third grade teams this year.
     Jr. League teams are made up of Seymour Intermediate School and Middle School students only.
     The teams will host and travel to play the other Sevier County Schools starting in November and ending in early February.
     Anyone interested in coaching one of the third grade teams is asked to leave their contact information at kb.ford@yahoo.com.
     Open gym times for each grade are posted on the Seymour Intermediate School’s gym doors as of yesterday.  
     Those who are planning to attend open gyms and or shoot around must bring separate shoes (no street shoes on the gym floor) and athletic clothes.
     Tryouts will be held the week of Sept. 20 through 24. Conflicts in schedules will exist, if so contact the participant’s coach or Kevin Ford at kb.ford@yahoo.com and once the schedules are known every effort will be made to accommodate each child’s needs.
     Seymour Jr. League Basketball supports all of the area’s basketball programs, MVP, Upward, and Jr. Pro. Each child may participate in Jr. League as well as others.
