KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Al Wilson, the “All Everything” linebacker who led the University of Tennessee to the 1998 National Championship, then became a 5- time Pro Bowler for the Denver Broncos, is introducing his first all defensive football camp, scheduled for July 9-12 in Knoxville. The camp will be hosted at the U.S. Cellular Complex and the cost is $350 per player.
Camp Explosion will be rooted in Al’s signature explosive style with four full days of defensive technique and instinct training. Al and his friends of the league will tutor players ages 9 – 13 and 14 – 18 in non-contact drills, hands on training and competition. Each player will be provided with state-of-the-art defensive football training, individual player evaluation, a camp t-shirt and an Al Wilson autographed photo.
A coaches clinic will kick off Camp Explosion on July 8. The focus of the clinic will entail learning the schemes and situational strategies most successful for Wilson during his football tenure.
Wilson has always aspired to share his defensive football expertise and experience with the next generation of student-athletes, as well as coaches, seeking to enhance their football defensive skills as a student of the game.
