Tiffany Sheehan, the 15-year old racing phenom from Blount County, will be going for her fifth consecutive win Saturday night in the Trucks Feature at Seymour’s legendary 411 Motor Speedway.
Sheehan, who began her racing career on the local go-cart circuit at the age of seven, collected her fourth straight checkered flag last weekend at the high-banked dirt oval.
Maryville’s Robert Martin came in second and Seymour’s Charlie Dunlap rounded out the top three in Saturday’s truck race.
Meanwhile, Knoxville resident Brad Lowe held on for an exciting victory in the 16-car Late Model Feature. Lowe, who was not included in the Late Model field a week ago, managed to stay in front of second-place finisher Jason Cardwell, of Knoxville, and third-Place finisher Josh Collins, of Powell, down the stretch to gain the win.
Cardwell improved on a sixth-place Late Model finish last week while Collins, who finished behind Charles Hurst and Ruben Mayfield last week, pulled off back-to-back third-place finishes in the highly-competitive race.
Seymour’s Ernie Teaster and Rusty Ballenger finished 11th and 13th, respectively, in the Late Model Feature.
Mike Lewelling and Robbie Comer once again were the first two cars to cross the finish line Saturday night in the Modified Street Feature. Lewelling, of Sevierville, and Comer, of Lafollette, finished in the same order a week ago.
Sevierville’s Brad Lewelling, who finished fifth in the Modified Street Feature last week, finished in third place in Saturday night’s seven-car field.
Lafollette native Nick Nelson, who was not included on the final leaderboard in the same race last week, pulled off a surprise win in the heated Street Stock Feature.
Knoxville’s Frederick Romines and Lenoir City’s Steve Welch were second and third, respectively, in the Street Stock race.
Robbie Sands, of Powell, won the Classics Feature Saturday night. Sands held off Bart Baxter, of Dandridge, and Knoxville’s Logan Dukes for the trip to Victory Lane.
Sands, who initially appeared to also win last week’s Classics race, was disqualified after a round of post-race controversy a week ago and the win was officially handed to Baxter.
Brian Gregory, who hails from the 10-Mile community, was first to the checkered flag in the Modified Mini Feature at Saturday night’s event. Gregory bested second-place finisher Jimmy Miller, who currently resides in Pigeon Forge, and third-place finisher David Dailey, of Knoxville, for the coveted Modified Mini victory.
Seymour’s Brian Dinkins finished fifth in the seven-car Modified Mini field last weekend.
Dustin Cansler, from Cleveland, Tennessee, was another repeat winner at 411 Saturday night. Canser, who also won last week’s race, once again was the first to cross the finish line in the hotly-contested Front-Wheel Drive Feature. Knoxville’s Mark Hittegner and Newport’s Josh Driskill were second and third, respectively, in the 16-car front-wheel drive field.
