sheehan captures first win in trucks feature

Maryville’s Tiffany Sheehan headlined Saturday’s dirt track racing at 411 Motor Speedway with her first win in the Trucks feature in front of a nice early summer crowd at the legendary Seymour track.

Sheehan successfully held off a competitive field featuring Freddie Hillard, who finished runner-up, and third-place finisher Robert Martin.

Josh Driskill, of Newport, won again in the Front-Wheel Drive feature. Driskill, who has won multiple races in the division this racing season at the speedway, outdistanced runner-up Mark Hittenger and third-place finisher Robert Lewis.

Knoxville’s Bryan McDaniel took the checkered flag in a small five-car field in the Street Stock feature. Reagan Williams, of Wartburg, finished in second place and Lafollette’s Nick Nelson finished in third place in the Street Stocks race.

Halls resident Adam Beeler bested a crowded 20-car field in the always-popular Late Model feature. Scott Gardner, of Knoxville, finished runner-up and Jason Cardwell, also of Knoxville, was Saturday’s third-place finisher in the Late Model race.

Curt Thomas finished first in a seven-car field in the Modified Street feature. Robbie Comer, of Lafollette, was runner-up and Sevierville’s Bradley Lewelling was the third-place finisher in the race.
