Seymour High School senior soccer standout Spencer Proctor signed scholarship papers to continue his athletic career at University of the Cumberlands Wednesday afternoon in the SHS library just minutes after helping his Eagles to a 3-0 win over Jefferson County in an in-school soccer game.

Proctor was accompanied by his parents, Christine Dunlap and Ron Proctor, and his high school coaches; SHS head coach Bobby Norwood and assistant coach Mickey Williams, as well as a room full of his Eagles teammates. University of the Cumberlands soccer coach Paulo Neto was also present at the mid-day signing.

A feature story on Proctor’s high school career and his thoughts on signing with the University of the Cumberlands will be available seymourherald.com in the coming days and in next week’s edition of The Seymour Herald newspaper.
