Cameron Cabrera of Seymour was nearly another step closer to qualifying for the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Invitational at the recent Southeast Amateur Regional.
Cabrera did not qualified last weekend in Bremen Georgia racing among 800 plus other contestants in all categories.
The fourteen years old rider, who's been riding motorcycles for the past number of years, was disappointed he did not move on to the next qualifier.
Cabrera races a 250 Honda CRX in the MX Lites C Stock 125C category, is the son of parents Remy and Shannon are the owners of Cycle One, located on Chapman Highway.
It's been a long grueling process for the Cabrera family. Cabrera, with his father has traveled Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, and Alabama, not to mention to other racetracks in Tennessee, just to qualify in the International Invitational.
Even his numerous broken bones over the years haven't kept him from persisting to pursue the thrill of victory.
Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Invitational is held at Loretta Lynn's ranch at Hurricane Mills, TN which starts July 30th. The Nationals will last one week.
Cabrera's loss this past weekend will not keep him down. There is always next year.
