The Tennessee football team went through a 90-minute workout Tuesday afternoon at Haslam Field as kickoff for the Outback Bowl meeting against Wisconsin is only two weeks away.
“The kids have had a good attitude,” head coach Phillip Fulmer said. “We’ve changed up practice enough that it hasn’t been boring for them. We’ve had a full speed scrimmage, which was great work for us. We’ve spent time on our fundamentals and have put in a lot of developmental time for our young players. You have to prepare for these games and our guys have had a good, serious attitude about it.”
The Vols’ leader also stressed that he expects his team to be focused on the Outback Bowl.
“Our team has been really good about putting things behind them and managing themselves through the course of the year and I expect them to do it again. The coaches have done a good job getting ready for this game and the kids are working extremely hard.”
Tennessee resumes practice Wednesday morning and afterward receives an early Christmas gift when Outback Bowl and Tampa Bay area representatives will host them for lunch at a local Outback Steakhouse.
