It was none other than Cleveland, Tennessee's own Spuny Brown, shown here posing in Victory Lane, that held off a pair of local favorites to win the Front-Wheel Drive Feature Saturday at 411 Motor Speedway.

Knoxville racer Brad Lowe gave Petros native Jeff Adkisson a run for his money Saturday night in the Late Model Feature at 411 Motor Speedway but came up short in the end.

Adkisson, a Petros resident, made the haul up to Seymour and collected the checker flag salute in the highly-competitive feature race at the newly resurfaced dirt track.

Lowe and fellow Knoxville resident Scott Gardner was in Adkisson’s rearview mirror as he made that final turn but couldn’t make up any ground in the end.

Johnny Lane of Dandride took the Modified Street/Trucks Feature, a growing but competitive division at 411.

Knoxvill’e Curt Thomas and Maryville’s Robert Martin were second and third, respectively, in the Modified Street/Trucks Feature race.

In the always entertaining Classics Feature race, veteran driver Wayne Dukes collected another win to put on his considerable list of victories, beating second place finisher, Jason Loveday, and third place finisher, Drew Kennedy, to the finish line Saturday night.

Lenoir City’s Rocky McNabb went down swinging and came out on top in the Modified Mini Feature, holding off second place finisher, Joey Allen of Cosby, and Brian Berkley, of Knoxville, to take the checkered flag.

In the crowded and competitive Front-Wheel Drive Feature, a race that appears destined to be a track favorite for the weeks to come throughout the remainder of the summer, Cleveland’s Spuny Brown was declared the winner following a controversial finish that saw the apparent winner disqualified.

Seymour’s own Robert Burris did his hometown proper with an impressive second place run. Rusty Ballenger, also of Seymour, rounded out the top three.
