Bristol Dragway set to host World Footbrake Challenge

Thunder Valley will welcome racers from across America for $100,000 racing weekend next April Bracket racers from all parts of the country will make their way to Thunder Valley next year as Bristol Dragway will host the World Footbrake Challenge April 13-15, 2007. Coalburg Racing Promotions has partnered with Bristol Dragway to offer a weekend packed full of footbrake bracket racing that offers a purse in excess of $100,000. The highlight of the event is a $50,000 to-win bracket race Saturday, April 14. A pair of $10,000 races will be held on Friday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16. Entry into the World Footbrake Challenge is $800 for the weekend. All pre-entries received before Feb. 1, 2007 will receive a discounted price of $675. All participants who register before Nov. 1, 2006, will get a free weekend crew pass in addition to the $675 entry fee. The event must have 125 pre-registered entries or the race will be cancelled. Gates open on Friday and Saturday at 8 a.m. with time trials beginning at 10 a.m. The Run For The Money is set for 1:30 p.m. and eliminations are scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. both days. Gates open Sunday at 8 a.m. with time trials for new entries at 10 a.m. followed by eliminations at 11:30 a.m. Single day entry for Friday or Sunday only is $150. Entry into Saturday’s race is $500. Spectator admission is $12 per day.
