Lady Tigers advance

Senior pitcher Jessica McCarter and the Pigeon Forge Lady Tigers will travel to District 1-AA champion Unicoi County tonight for a 5 p.m. region tournament game. The Lady Tigers earned the regional bid by virtue of a runner-up finish to Rutledge last week in the District 2-AA Tournament. Should the Lady Tigers defeat the Lady Pioneers tonight, they would they would then advance to a region championship tilt against the winner of the Rutledge-Elizabethton game, which will also be played tonight.
