Smokies tickets available

The Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, began selling single game tickets at the team’s box office at Smokies Park on Monday morning. Field-level tickets are available for $10. Field-level seating for children and seniors is $9, which is a $1 discount off the regular price of admission. Reserved bleacher seating is $8, with children and seniors paying just $7 per ticket. Grass Berm seating will again be available at Smokies Park in 2006. Tickets for the grass, outfield berm can be purchased for $5. An advance purchase discount of $1 per ticket is also available if fans order their tickets at least four hours prior to the scheduled game time. The advance purchase discount means that a field level adult seat would be $9 and an adult bleacher ticket would be $7. Children and seniors also receive $1 off on top of the advance purchase discount if the tickets are ordered at least four hours prior to first pitch. Single game tickets went on sale via the Internet Monday, March 6. Ordering on the Internet is easy. All you need to have is a major credit card and a couple of minutes to order tickets on the Smokies’ website, located at www.smokiesbaseball.com . Ordering single game tickets on the Internet is both safe and secure. Ordering by phone is also a very simple process. The Smokies will “kick-off” their 2006 season with the Tennessee Classic sponsored by K-25 Federal Credit Union, an exhibition match-up against the University of Tennessee on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:15 p.m. at Smokies Park. Following a season opening road trip to Montgomery , the team will open Southern League play at home on Tuesday, April 11 against the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx (Chicago Cubs).
