Jennifer Moore signs with Motlow State Seymour senior Jennifer Moore is on her way to college. Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma, TN signed the SHS softball catcher to play softball for them and to continue her education. This was the first year that Moore played with Seymour and she has made quite a name for herself. Everyone on hand for the big event had nothing but praises to sing about Jennifer. “She’s very impressive. The best catcher, there was hardly a ball that ever got by her,” stated Coach Carter. “She could throw anybody out, it doesn’t matter if it was first base, second base or third… she had a riffle of an arm,” he added. Moore helped lead the Seymour Lady Eagles to a third place finish and an almost regional berth into the post-season. Her last game with Seymour went to 11 innings as the Lady Eagles faced off against Alcoa. Not only is she a great catcher, she can swing a bat too. Going 10 for 13 during the recent tournament and five for five against Alcoa, Moore has shown that she can hold her own even when not behind the plate. It looks as if another bright future is starting to shine. As she heads off to college in the fall, you can be sure that she will never forget her current teammates and her year at Seymour. “I really enjoyed playing with you guys this year. You all have a lot of talent and a lot of heart,” Moore said of her teammates. Good luck in all your future endeavors from all of us here at The Herald Newspapers.
