The King’s Academy sweeps Knoxville Baptist

By Seymour Herald Staff Writer The King’s Academy picked up boy’s and girl’s basketball wins over Knoxville Baptist Thursday night with a 64-27 victory in boy’s action, and a 33-14 win in the girl’s tilt. The Lions (6-10) were led by Clift Beeler, who finished with 20-points on 4-6 shooting from the field and 12-16 at the charity stripe. He also led the Lions with seven boards on the night. Matt King also had a stellar game for the Lions, chipping in 16-points, on 4-5 from the field including two three-pointers and 2-3 at the foul line. He contributed four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Other Lion scorers were Erran Rutherford with 5, Rene Attoumbre with 9, Tyler McDaniel with 5; Valentin Uwayo with 2, Jesse Ndurumo with 2 and Daniel Finchum with 2. The Lady Lions were led by Leah Rose with 11, Katherine Martin with 9, Melodie Bagwell with 5, Katie King with 2 and Jodi Finchum with 4.
