The King’s Academy Lions fell to 1-3 on the year after a 38-0 loss to Rosemark last week. Rosemark scored 13 points in the first quarter, 12 points in the second quarter and 13 points in the third quarter. Both teams lost three fumbles and Rosemark threw the only interception in the game but that is the only statistical catoragory won by TKA. Rosemark had 12 first downs and TKA had four. TKA rushed 105 yards but lost 70 yards on their 37 rushing attempts resulting in only 35 net yards gained on the ground. That is where Rosemark effectively won the game. They gained 240 yards on 36 rushing attempts and in the process gained a large time-of -possession advantage. Committing 10 penalties that resulted in a loss of 65-yards also hurt TKA. Rosemark lost 45 yards on six penalties. The Lions saw the return of their bruising fullback Jehu Hill, who has been slowed by nagging injuries in the last couple of games, result in a 12 carry, 66-yard effort to lead the team in rushing. The other Lion running backs were not as effective, to say the least. Matt King, who leads the team in rushing, had a negative 26 yards on seven carries. Zach Fine had negative 32 yards on seven carries. Fine finished 1-5 through the air for two-yards. Clift Beeler once again led the team in tackles with 11. Hill had eight total hits, Andy Scalf had six and Tyler McDaniel had four tackles and an interception.
