Seymour Herald announces Biggest Buck Contest

The Seymour Herald will be hosting the First Annual Biggest Buck Contest to run throughout the deer-hunting season this year. Winners will be awarded for both the biggest buck by weight and for the largest rack, in the bow, muzzle-loader, and gun categories. Entrants will be eligible to enter different deer in as many categories as they wish, one deer per category. To enter your deer in the contest, contact the Seymour Herald offices at (865) 577-6609. This year’s dates for bow hunting in the Region four, Unit B area are September 28 through November 1 and November 11 through November 22. Muzzle-loader and archery season on deer will be open November 4 through November 10 and December 13 through December 15. Gun, muzzle-loader, and archery season will be open from November 23 through December 1 and December 21 through January 8 of next year.
