Teachers, Sevier County Sheriff School Resource Officer David Layman, and 100 students set off for a three-day space camp on Monday from Seymour Middle School. The group will be traveling from May 21st thru May 23rd to spend three days at the Space Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The center is where actual astronauts practice many of the necessary procedures before they take that outer space flight.

"We have 100 students going on this trip," stated teacher Ms. Stahlke. "We held some fundraisers and that gave other students a chance to go. We even made enough that we could give each student a few dollars spending money."

The group is planning on returning Wednesday afternoon.
