An education grant of $1500 is available through our local Sevier Chapter of ABWA and the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Foundation (SBMEF). Only ABWA Chapters who participate and qualify with ABWA National guidelines may submit applicants for the SBMEF grant. To be eligible for this grant, the applicant must be female, a U.S. citizen and have completed 60 credit hours toward a bachelor or higher degree. If you or someone you know is interested in receiving additional information please send an email requesting "SBMEF Grant" information to scholarships@abwasevier.org or call 865-908-5986 by January 30, 2010, as this grant has the earliest deadline, and we will send criteria, application and deadline information.
The Sevier Chapter of ABWA will be awarding local scholarships to Sevier County residents in spring of 2010. These scholarships will be available to students graduating from high school in spring 2010 and those currently enrolled or who are enrolling in the fall 2010 to continue their college education. “We look forward each year to assisting our local students and are excited to hear from anyone who would like to participate,” said Michelle Wallace, President of the Sevier Chapter of ABWA.
