country star darryl worley to perform free concert

Country music hitmaker Darryl Worley will perform a FREE concert (with fair admission) at the Wilson County Fair in Lebanon, TN on Monday, August 24 at 7pm. For more information, visit www.wilsoncountyfair.net.
During his ten year career, Worley has sold 1.5 million albums worldwide and has quickly become one of the hottest artists in country music. His high energy show takes his audience on a non-stop journey through his record-breaking career of 17 charting hits, including three Number Ones - "I Miss My Friend," "Have You Forgotten?" and "Awful, Beautiful Life."
Worley's debut single, "When You Need My Love," was released in 2000 from his Hard Rain Don't Last album on DreamWorks Records, which spawned four hits, including "A Good Day to Run." He experienced his first Number One song with "I Miss My Friend" in 2002 from the album of the same name, which topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. That same year, Worley was nominated for Top New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, and for the Country Music Association's Horizon Award.
His biggest hit came in 2003 with the song "Have You Forgotten?" that spent an astonishing seven weeks at Number One on the country singles chart and helped drive the sales of his Have You Forgotten album to Platinum certification.
Worley's latest Top 20 hit, "Sounds Like Life to Me," is the second single from his sixth studio album, Sounds Like Life. The new project, released on Stroudavarious Records, once again teams him with the legendary James Stroud, who Worley worked closely with at DreamWorks Records when Stroud produced four of the singer's albums.
A uniquely talented songwriter, Worley had a hand in writing eight of the disc's 11 tunes, including the title track, which he penned with Nashville heavyweights Wynn Varble and Phil O'Donnell. The album also features guest vocals by Jamey Johnson, John Anderson, John Cowan, Whisperin' Bill Anderson, Mel Tillis, Steve Harwell of Smash Mouth and Ira Dean, formerly of Trick Pony, on the swampy number "Don't Show Up (If You Can't Get Down)."
