In a accident referred to as a “T-bone” type accident, an elderly woman, driver of a Toyota Camry, had to be extricated out of the vehicle by the "Jaws of Life" by the Seymour Volunteer Firefighters. She was transported to UT Hospital by Sevier Co. EMS.
The male driver of a Dodge Stratus also suffered minor injuries and was transported to Baptist Hospital by Sevier Co. EMS.
Seymour Volunteer Fire Departent Squad 3, Engine 7, and six firefighters responded to the accident.
Sevier Co. EMS Ambulance nine and Ambulance eight transported the injured drivers.
Sevier Co. Sheriffs Department also responded.
