Jenni Sanjurjo, owner of Seymour Realty, is having a party for the Greens with family and friends including Jim’s brother and his wife from California.
The Greens came from England in 2003 to be with their daughter, Jenni Sanjurjo, son, Steve Green and their four grandchildren.
“I was going to have a surprise anniversary party for them, but unfortunately, they started making their own plans which conflicted with my party plans and I had to reveal my secret,” stated Sanjurjo.
In addition to the party, Sanjurjo and Steve Green collectively contributed to a recent New York trip for the anniversary couple.
Anyone who has been to the Seymour Community Park probably knows Jim as he is very involved in the park and soccer. As a matter of fact, the park has been renamed after him as Jim Green Soccer Field. It was named after him because of his dedication and effort put forth to make the Seymour Community Park what it is today.
Jim’s love of soccer has been with him ever since he was a baby boy, according to daughter Sanjurjo.
“He barely made it to his wedding, but missed my baptism, he was busy playing soccer,” Sanjurjo told the Herald. “Which is probably where my brother and I get our love of the game too.”
“Let’s hope he doesn’t miss his Anniversary Party,” stated Sanjurjo.
