After leading the nationally-ranked Tennessee Vols to wins over Florida and at LSU, senior guard Chris Lofton has been named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending February 10.

It is the first time this season the Maysville, Ky., native has earned the weekly
honor and the seventh time in his career. Lofton has earned more player of the week honors than any other player in SEC history, passing Alabama's Kennedy Winston (six from 2003-05).
Lofton led the Vols with 26 points and a season-high five steals in a 104-82 victory over Florida and then had a team-high 15 points in a 47-45 win at LSU. The 6-foot-2 guard has led the Vols in scoring in each of their last six games and is averaging a team-best 15.7 points per game on the season. He has moved into seventh-place on the NCAA's career 3-pointers made chart with 392 triples and is shooting 47.9 percent from 3-point range in SEC games. He holds four of the top 10 single-season marks in school history for 3-pointers made as his 79 this season rank ninth.
