published: July 19 2007 05:46 PM updated:: July 21 2007 10:17 AM According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals, a traffic stop lead to the discovery of a meth lab in the vehicle.

On July 17, 2007 Deputy Blaine Lewis stopped a car on New Center Rd. in Sevier County driven by Nick Burkhart from Thorngrove Pike in Knoxville.

Deputy Lewis arrested Burkhart for driving on a revoked driver license and discovered the components to manufacture methamphetamines in the vehicle.

The Sevier County Meth Response Unit was called to the scene along with the Tennessee Meth Task Force.

Nick Burky Burkhart (28) of 9310 Thorngrove Pike, Knoxville, TN. was charged with: Manufacturing methamphetamine (Sch. II) and Driving on a revoked license.

Burkhart's bond was set at $50,000 pending a August 17, 2007 9AM court appearance.
