Aug. 3-5 is the sales tax holiday for this coming school year. It will start at 12:01 a.m. on the 3rd and end at 11:59 p.m. on the 5th.
The state is projecting about $15 million in savings.
Art supplies were added to the tax-exempt list this year after constituents asked several state senators and representatives for that change.

Computers with a purchase price of $1,500 or less, not for use in a trade or business, are exempt from salestax.
For purposes of this exemption, a computer is defined as a central processing unit (CPU), along with various other components including monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, cables to connect components, and preloaded software.
