So many new businesses opening in the past year has changed the face of Seymour.
One such business is across the street from Food City. The storage units that have been on Chapman Highway for years next to McDonalds, have been removed to make way for a new business.
The building is next. It's in the process of being dismantled.
The property was purchased by Lora Parton, owner of Sevier Pawn and Loan.
Parton plans to construct a multipurpose building on the site.
"I want to make the building so that it can be used for other businesses as well," Parton told the Seymour Herald.
That's just one of many changes that have contributed to Seymour's growth.
For years the community has wanted good restaurants to open their doors in Seymour.
As a result, Krystals, Sonics, and Zaxbys have placed their mark on Seymour.
A surprise to the community was the Starbucks location on Chapman.
According to some local bankers, there are other big surprises on the horizon for the ever growing Seymour Community.
