Dear Editor:
I was handing a newspaper to a woman at the Seymour McDonalds Saturday the 24th at lunchtime when I was nearly floored with her rage. She cussed at me in such a tone and volume that others overheard. The vulgarity of this woman set me back, especially since my four-year-old daughter was standing right there, not to mention all the other adults and kids there at that time. When I talked with another woman a couple tables away, she also overheard the cussing and identified that woman as Marty Hamilton. And when she told me that Marty Hamilton is a Sevier County Commissioner, I just couldn’t believe it. How can a public official act like that in public and around children?
I think the County needs to be aware of who they put in a position such as this and whether or not they are capable of properly representing the people. I sure would not want this woman representing me in any manner.
A copy of this letter is being sent to the Sevier County Executive so that he will be aware of what type of person the county has as a representative.
Sincerely,
Denise Belus
