Thank you for agreeing to serve on the steering committee for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Sevier County. We appreciate your support and commitment to this event. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service. Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity, used to fund our mission. Relay For Life is a 12-24-hour event, usually beginning on Friday night and ending on Saturday. This event has three purposes – to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s programs and services, to celebrate survivorship, and to raise awareness of what the American Cancer Society can do for your community. This event has raised millions of dollars in communities all over the country. Thank you again for your dedication to this wonderful cause. With your help, we will move that much closer to our goal.
