What’s in a name – Seymour

joe@seymourherald.com I began wondering one day when all of a sudden in the mail appeared a Seymour Herald newspaper. But it wasn’t our Seymour Herald newspaper. It was a newspaper from Seymour, Indiana. Apparently the post office returned it to us because the original address was incorrect – so we got it back. I was so shocked that I picked up the phone and contacted the publisher. We chatted for a while and I promised to send them a copy of our Seymour Herald. But that got me wondering – how many Seymours are out there. So I jumped on the internet and started surfing. You know about Seymour, Indiana, but have you heard of Seymour, Connecticut? Or Seymour, Texas? Here’s one for you; Seymour Public Schools in Seymour, CT. Did you know there is a Mount Seymour – located just 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada? And there is the Seymour, situated within 100kms of Melbourne, Bendigo and Shepparton, is at the junction of the Hume Freeway and the Goulburn Valley Highway.
