Howard C. Black, age 87 of Kodak, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Ben Atchley Veteran’s Home. He was a Major in the United States Army Reserves, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Battle of Manila. He was active in Boy Scouts and was a Silver Beaver Award recipient. He was also an active Mason and a Past President of the Rotary Club of Sevierville. He and his wife of 56 years were members of Kodak United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth C. Black. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law: John and Patricia Black Daughter and son-in-law: Durelle and Bernie Fullenkamp Grandchildren: Emma Black, Kristen (Fullenkamp) and Lance Spott, Jonathan Fullenkamp In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Howard’s memory to the Rotary Club of Sevierville, 319 Constellation Lane, Kodak Tennessee 37764. Funeral service 1 PM Tuesday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Don Grady officiating. Interment will follow in Henry’s Crossroads Cemetery.
