John ''Jack'' G. Wason

John “Jack” G. Wason, age 76 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, September 29, 2008. Formerly of Port Leyden, NY, Jack was a dairy farmer there for 32 years. After retiring, he drove a school bus for South Lewis Central School for seven years. Eleven years ago, Jack and his wife moved to Tennessee where he was a trolley driver for the City of Gatlinburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. His recent hobbies included woodworking, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Leafa “Coe” McIntyre Wason, sister Judy Wason, great-grandson Jeremiah Sutter, and son-in-law Rick Lallier. Survivors include his: Wife of 53 years: Rosella Wason Daughters and sons-in-law: Shannon and Fred Liechty, Sheila and Mark LaFountain, Shelley Lallier, Angela and Daniel Scheib, Stacy Wason, Tracy and David Gillespie Grandchildren: Kristofer and Adam Liechty, Holly, Mark Jr., and Mianda LaFountain, Melissa and John Lallier, Stephanie and Samantha Scheib, Grace, Lydia, and Emily Gillespie 6 Great-grandchildren Brothers and sister-in-law: James and Shirley Wason, Joseph Wason Sister and brother-in-law: Louise and Paul Wilson Sisters-in-law: Margaret Samson, Sharon Breen Many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O.
