DUNCAN, GLEN W. (Flub Dub), 70, of Knoxville, went home to live with Jesus on Friday, September 26 after a lengthy illness. Glen was retired from Key Safety Systems and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and was a faithful member of Sonlight Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Pauline “Polly” Duncan Carroll. Glen is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sarah E. (Tootsie Pop) Dunn Jackson Duncan; son, David Alan and wife, Julia Jackson; daughter Susan and husband, Henry Burleigh; grandchildren Michelle Smith, Barbara Thrasher and Kris Rice; sisters Iris Mooney, Sharon Howell, Sarah Swanner, DeRonda Williamson, Linda Nave, Carol Decker, Kay Burke, Betty Brewer; brothers, PFC George (Ray) Carroll, SSGT Charles (Bill) Carroll, retired, CPL Frederick Carroll, retired, CPL James Carroll, retired, GYSGT Clarence (John-John) Carroll, retired, Frank Carroll; mother-in-law, Edna H. Dunn; aunt and uncle, Betty and Roy Dixson; special niece, PFC Jessica Carroll and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 28 from 6-8 P.M. at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 P.M. with Rev. Eddie Myers officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, September 29 for an 11 A.M. graveside service.
