Broadway, Rhonda Susan (Davis), age 42, of Knoxville, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at UT Hospital. Born and raised in South Knoxville, Rhonda attended South Knoxville Elementary and South Middle School. She later moved and resided in Maryville, Tennessee. She was a member of South Knoxville Church of God. Rhonda loved helping other people and she will be dearly missed by her many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Selvidge; grandmother, Wilma Davis; aunt, Juanita Hayes and uncle, David Davis. Rhonda is survived by her daughters, Jamie Bluford Piety and Ashley Bluford, both of Knoxville; grandchildren, Tamichael, Melia, and Adara; mother, Frances Selvidge, of Knoxville; sister, Janet Davis Bennett and husband, Johnny; niece and nephews, Calyn and Johnny III, Jarett and Jayden Bennett , all of Corning, CA. and sister, Carol Selvidge of Knoxville; former husband and father of Rhonda’s children, James Bluford, of Knoxville; aunt, Dorothy Whaley; uncle, Gene Hayes; and cousins, Sabrina Davis, Ricky and Randy Hayes, Gary and Shawn Whaley and David and Eddie Davis. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in Berry Chapel with Rev. Luis Branch officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rhonda’s mother, Frances Selvidge, to help with medical expenses.
