Dee Annah Carnes Matthews

Dee Annah Carnes Matthews, age 97 of Sevierville, departed this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2008. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville. She was preceded in death by her father Cal Carnes, mother Mary Trifina Carnes, husband Arlie H. Matthews, son Jackie R. Matthews, granddaughter Sheila Lowe, grandson Brandon Matthews, daughter-in-law Gail Matthews, and siblings Genny Collier, Lou Matthews, Grace Norton, Mary Norton, Willie Hodge, Mattie Price, and John Carnes. Her survivors include her: Sons and daughters-in-law: Carroll H. and Mary Matthews, Blaine Matthews, Wendell and Lois Matthews, Malcom and Carolyn Matthews Daughter: Brenda Matthews 11 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren 4 great-great-grandchildren Several nieces and nephews and many friends and loved ones Funeral service 7 PM Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne White and Rev. Bobby Ely officiating. Interment 1 PM Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
