Dorothy Vineyard

VINEYARD, Dorothy Jean Petree, age 81, of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 30, 2008. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City and a longtime member of the Calvin Metcalf class. Preceded in death by father and mother, Isaac and Laura Petree; brother and sister-in-law Allan and Billie Petree; twin sister and brother-in-law Jeanette and E. M. Smith; and brother-in-law Jim Lawson. Survivors: husband E.H. Vineyard, Jr.; sister Frances Lawson; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Rachel Vineyard; son and daughter in law, Edward and Janet Vineyard; daughter Edith Underwood; grandchildren, Robert Vineyard, Christine Vineyard, Erin Goode and husband Andy, Ashley White and husband Ryan, Shellie Underwood, Zack Underwood, Brittany Brewer and husband Wes, and Bear Adkisson; great-grandchildren, Addison Brewer and Jack Goode. The family would like to express a special thanks to the 4th Floor Staff at Shannondale Health Care Center for all of their care and support. Her sweet smile and loving spirit will be missed by all. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel followed by an 8:00 p.m. funeral service, Reverend Ron Mouser officiating. Family requests donations to Central Baptist Church of Fountain City Window Fund in lieu of flowers.
