Whittman Gordon Whaley

Whittman Gordon Whaley, age 71 of Gatlinburg, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Whaley was a 34 year veteran of the Gatlinburg Police Department and a member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Leola Whaley; sisters Henrietta Carr and Bonnie Justus; and brother Bill Whaley. Survivors: Wife of 40 years: Rebecca Whaley Daughter: Angela Whaley Son and daughter-in-law: Aaron and Stephanie Whaley Grandchildren: Whittman and Wade Whaley Sisters: Lena Campbell and Geneva Litherland Brother: Roy Wallace Whaley Several nieces. nephews, cousins and a large extended family Funeral service 11 AM Saturday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Carr and Rev. Lee Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
