Services for Mrs. Pearl Covington Mashburn will be held, January 30, 2008, at 08:00 PM at the following locations: Highland Memorial Chapel 5315 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919 (865) 588-0567 Mashburn, Pearl Gray Covington – age 97, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Brakebill Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna McNish Gray; brothers, Andrew, Buford and Carl Gray; sisters, Bessie James, Emma Clevenger and Lucy Morgan; husbands, Zack Mashburn and Lester Covington. Left to cherish her in memories are her children: Marv and Gale Covington, Ray and Nancy Covington, John and Delores Covington Mann; her grandchildren, Lester and Bob Covington, Lisa Foster and Alyssa Peterpaul; four great-grandchildren, Gavin and Brandon Foster, Zach and Josh Covington; step-daughters, Trula Henry and Della Raby; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her special extended family of nurses and staff at Brakebill Nursing Home. The family extends their deep appreciation to everyone at Brakebill for their loving care. She was a long-time member of Hollywood Hills Baptist Church and later a member of First Baptist Church of Bluegrass. Mrs. Mashburn is at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Family and friends will meet on Thursday at Edgewood Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. committal and graveside service, Rev. Lowell Ramsey officiating.
