Darrell Loy

Loy, Darrell W., age 55, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 at home. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and a dedicated employee of Sea Ray of Knoxville for 22 years. He was also a member of Gatlinburg Sportsman’s Club. He was an avid duck hunter and shooter as well as a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by father, S.A. “Rocky” Loy; brother, Brad Loy; mother-in-law Judy Miller. Survivors include wife, Deborah Miller Loy of Knoxville; mother, Jean Loy Keeney of Clinton; daughter, Makenzie Loy of Knoxville; son, Matthew Loy of Lexington, KY; sister, Kimra Loy Merritt and husband Doug; father-in-law, Bob Miller; brother-in-law, Jeff Miller and wife Sue, several nieces; special friends, Andrea Sharp and Danny Partida. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Daniel Ibach and Dr. Joseph Meyer and staff of Thompson Cancer Survival Center The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM Tuesday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM, Dr. Alan Price and Doug Merritt officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 1:00 PM Wednesday for interment services. Pallbearers will be Terry Carter, Scott Carter, Jeff Miller, Greg Garland, Steve Foster, and Danny Partida. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Miller, Bobby Sharp, Johnny Bailey, and Richard Bailey.
