Phillips, Curtis L. (Jack) –age 88, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008. He was retired from Stratford Arms and Comfort Inn. Preceded in death by wife, Helen Phillips; brothers, Charles, Hubert, Bill and John Phillips; step-grandchild, Tony Gulley. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Ron Monday; beloved grandchildren and spouse, Shea Dukes, Brandi and Cory Maples; stepdaughter and spouse, Ann and Curtis Gulley; step-grandchildren and spouse, Randy and Tammy Gulley and Cindy Mullendore; several step-great-grandchildren; sisters and spouses, Martha and Leonard France, Annie Henderson, Helen Gribble; several nieces and nephews. With his colorful personality, Jack never met a stranger. He had a host of friends of all ages with whom he shared many stories, laughter and memories and will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Union Cemetery, Newport, Tennessee, for a 1:00 PM graveside service Rev. Donnie Ownby officiating.
