Services for Mr. Frederick Gray will be held, November 01, 2007, at 03:00 PM at the following locations: Highland Memorial Cemetery 5315 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919 (865) 588-0567 Gray, Frederick Wilton (Fred) – age 87 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away October 30, 2007. He was a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church. Fred was a World War II veteran having served in the Navy and recently traveled to Washington, DC with the Honor Air Flight for World War II veterans. He was retired from the Federal Government Department of Labor. He was a University of Tennessee graduate and an avid University of Tennessee football fan. Preceded in death by his first wife, June Bishop. Survived by his wife, Jean Gray; children, Karen and Steve Kendall, Susan and Rick Jones, Pamela Montgomery, and Rebecca Mansfield; step-children, Keith and Sylvia Schneider, Linda and David Honold, Kathy and John Vannoy; grandchildren, Candice Kendall, Cristina Kendall, Kaitlyn Jones, Travis Jones, Carrie Higley, Lloyd Montgomery, Katie Mansfield, Bryan Schneider, Marla Finnegan, Nathan Honold, Matthew Honold, Whitney Honold, Kevin Honold, Madison Vannoy, Lauren Vannoy and Chandler Vannoy; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Higley, Timothy Finnegan and Luke Finnegan. Mr. Gray is at Highland Memorial Funeral Home in Bearden, where friends may sign the guest book from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 8:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral procession will be leaving Highland Memorial Funeral Home at 2:45 p.m. Thursday for Highland Memorial Cemetery, where graveside rites will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Military rites provided by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.
