Robert (Bob) Sharp

Robert L. Sharp (Bob), age 86, born July 20, 1921, passed away on Wednesday October 17, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospice in Knoxville. Mr. Sharp was a long time employee of R.T. Clapp in Knoxville and remained an employee there until the time of his death. Over the course of his 68 years with R.T. Clapp he developed many precious friendships and was beloved by everyone who knew and worked with him. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ethel Sharp; daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Charles Pickett; brothers, Clyde, W.A, and Raymond Sharp. Survived by his wife, Pauline Sliger Sharp; granddaughter, Jodi Pickett of St Louis, MO; great granddaughter, Michaela. Other surviving family members include several sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews whose lives were all touched by his jovial loving spirit. He also leaves his much loved dog Baby. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00PM Friday with the funeral service to follow at 7:00PM at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Albert Kitts officiating. Entombment service will be held on Saturday at 1:00PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones and Bob’s devoted nephew, Larry McPherson, and his long term co-workers at R.T.
