Bruce Bennie Carr

Bruce Bennie Carr, age 78 of Sevierville, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007, after a long illness. Born March 14, 1929, he was a veteran of the Korean War, a Free Mason, and a long-time member of Second Baptist Church of Sevierville. He was a retired inspector from Fulton’s in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by parents Rev. Joel Carr and Eliza Ownby Carr, brothers Lemar, Joe, and Ralph Carr, and sisters Beulah Ownby, Kate LeSeur, Hetty Bryan, and Ruth Galyon. Survivors include his: Wife of 55 years: Edna Moore Carr Son and daughter-in-law: Dale and JoAnn Carr Grandson and wife: Brandon and Jamie Carr Brother and sister-in-law: Paul Eugene and Genevieve Carr Sister-in-law: Linda Carr Brother-in-law: Howard Pitner Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert and Fannie Cody Adoptive grandson: Will Horstmann Several nieces and nephews Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Murr and Rev. Ben Knight officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Wednesday in Shiloh Cemetery for interment.
