Martha Douglas

Douglas, Martha Givens, age 82, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 27, 2007. She was a member of Church Street United Methodist Church, where she was a member of Murphy Builders Sunday School Class. She was an active member of the L.I.F.T group with Berry Funeral Home. She was retired from the Insurance Industry and moved to Knoxville in 1991. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Annie Givens; husband, David M. Douglas; daughter, Barbara Ferguson; brothers, Charles and Carl Givens. Survived by son, Richard H. Douglas of Vista, CA; son and daughter-in-law, David W and Laura Douglas of Granger, Ind. 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Wilburn of Virginia Beach, VA. Services will be held in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway Saturday at 10:00 AM with Rev. Cabel W. Trent officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday.
