Elbert Monterey Shelby, age 75, of South Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Ida Capps Shelby, sisters, Barbara Connaster, and Jewel Clevenger, brother, Robert Shelby Survivors: Wife of 54 years: Mary Hurst Shelby Son and Daughter-in-law: Danny Shelby Sr. and wife Terry Grandchildren: Danny Shelby Jr., Ryan Burress, Marah Shelby Brother: Lloyd Shelby and wife Helen Sister: Gaynell Moneymaker Special nieces: Brenda Shelby, Kathy Chambers Several Great Nieces and nephews Pallbearers: Ryan Burress, Danny Shelby, Dave Chambers, Michael Covington, Robby Weaver, and Sammy Barber. Honorary Pallbearers: Frankie Denton, Justin Bumby Funeral Service 11 AM Friday in New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Ogle and Rev. James Cupp officiating.
