Sarah Dianne Ward

Ward, Sarah Dianne, age 79, of Knoxville, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 16, 1927, to George Alexander Bodenheimer and Elsie Mae Anderson. In her time, Dianne was a wonderful cook and loved to travel. Her family was her life. She had the most precious smile, beautiful blue eyes and a loving and generous spirit. She was able to remain at home till her death thru the loving devotion of her family especially her son, Jay who was a wonderful caregiver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. ?Jimmy? Ward; son, George Richard Ward and sister, Lucy Jane Chitwood. She is survived by sons, Steve and Jay Ward of Knoxville; daughter, Debbie Weight and husband, Glen of Oak Ridge; brother, George ?Bodie? Bodenheimer and wife, Peggy of Knoxville; special aunt, Dot Booker, who sent her cards every week; special niece, Pat Scholvinck and husband, Roy of California; nephews, Jim ?Mike? Taylor and wife, Carolyn of Nebraska, Freddie Chitwood of Georgia and her dog, Katie. The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses at Caris Hospice for their loving care and compassion of her, especially Krichelia and Dee. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Thursday at Berry Funeral Home with Ernest Hatmaker officiating.
