Alice C. ''Miss Alice'' McMahan

Alice C. “Miss Alice” McMahan, age 98 of Seymour, passed away Monday, February 19, 2007. “Miss Alice” retired after 43 years as an educator in Sevier County. She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest “Shorty” McMahan and infant son William Earnest McMahan. Survivors include the sons and daughters of the late Minyard and Hester Conner, Earnest and Flora Conner and Winfred and Lela McCarter; several great nieces and great nephews and many special friends in the Zion Hill Community. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church, c/o Floyd Powell, 350 Zion Hill Road, Seymour, TN, 37865. Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W.A. Galyon and Rev. Floyd Powell officiating.
