Robert Henderson

Henderson, Robert E, age 72, went to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday February 16, 2007. He was a faithful servant and member of Hoitt Ave. Baptist Church. He retired from KUB in 1994 after 25 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Mae Henderson; brother, James Dixon. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Helen L. Henderson; sons, Leroy and wife Rena Henderson, and Jimmy and wife Brenda Henderson; step children, Paul Wilkerson, John Wilkerson, Sandi and husband Kip Nolan, and Lisa and husband Ron Lake; grandchildren, Nikki Stacey, Cannan Henderson, Michelle Corum, Leanee Cockrum, Amanda Henderson, Leslie Roark, Katie Forrester, Allen Chisholm, Kayla Nolan, Kurt Wilkerson, and Kelli Wilkerson; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Stella Dixon. Funeral services will be on Monday February 19, at 8:00PM at Hoitt Ave Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Williams and Rev. Mark Hammond officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday prior to service at the church. Interment will be on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hoitt Ave. Baptist Church in memory of Robert Henderson, 2121 Hoitt Ave. Knoxville, TN 37917. Pallbearers will be Paul Wilkerson, John Wilkerson, Kip Nolan, Jimmy Henderson, Allen Chisholm, and Leroy Henderson? honorary pallbearer, Cannan Henderson.
