Lester C. ?Tom? Brewer

Brewer, Lester C. ?Tom?, age 82, of South Knoxville, passed away February 16, 2007, at Ft. Sanders Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Tom was an avid bowler and camper for years. He served as field director and president with the Big Orange Chapter of the NCHA and held office as field director for the state of Tennessee. He was a long-time member of Bell Avenue/Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Harry and Gertrude Brewer; brothers, Roy, Jack, Earl and George Brewer; and sister, Mildred Ogle. Survivors include wife, Lorraine Warren Brewer; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and David Gilbert; son, Richard Brewer; grandchildren, Scott Gilbert and wife Molly of Newnan, GA.; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Finnian Gilbert; twin brother and sister-in-law, Luster ?Luck? and Dolores Brewer; and several nephews and nieces. The funeral service will be held at 8 PM Monday in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Brown officiating. Eulogy to be given by David Oxendine. Family and friends will meet at 1 PM Tuesday at Highland South Cemetery for the interment service.
