Linda Liston

Liston, Linda, age 63, of Knoxville, went to heaven to join her husband and son Saturday, April 14, 2007, from St. Mary?s Hospital. She was a member of City View Baptist Church and retired from Knoxville Police Department. She loved her grandchildren more than anything and enjoyed watching them playing sports; she was their biggest fan. Preceded in death by husband, Danny Liston; son Jason Liston, brothers, Jack and Ronnie Tate; and parents George and Nell Tate. Survived by sons Chris and wife Alishia Liston, and Scott and wife Ellen Liston; daughter-in-law Wendy Liston Compton and husband Barry; grandchildren Erica, Abbie, Coby and Bryana Liston; sister and lifelong best friend Bobbie Compton and husband Stan; aunt, Margaret Jenkins; sister-in-law Sharon Tate; niece Melissa Tatum and husband Tim; nephew Nicky Tate and wife Jessica; nephew Jack Lemuel Tate; cousins Sandra Allen, Patsy Julian and Elaine Ridgel; and special four-legged friend Daisy. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday with the funeral service to follow at 8 pm Tuesday in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Tim Tatum officiating.
