Glenn Manis

Glenn Manis, age 86 of Seymour, Tennessee passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 17, 2006. He was born on February 25, 1920. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, and retired from Blalock and Sons after 30+ years. Glenn was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Seymour. Preceded in death by his parents; David Arthur and Lola Mollie Manis, sister, Betty Manis Carr, brothers-in-law, Frank Carr and Luke West. Survivors: Sisters and brother-in-law: Lucille West of Maryville, TN., Ruby Harris and husband Joe of Appomattox, VA. Brothers and sisters-in-law: Vaughn Manis and wife Mae, Hugh Manis and wife Helen, Paul Manis and wife Brenda, all of Sevierville, TN and T.M. Manis and wife Elizabeth, and Jack Manis and wife Betty of Farmville, VA. Survivors also include 25 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, and special friends and neighbor Roy Hodges. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Huskey’s Grove Cemetery Fund c/o Jerry Cole 550 Huskey’s Grove Rd., Sevierville, TN 37876 or Home Bound Miniseries c/o First Baptist Church, 11621 Chapman Hwy. Seymour, TN 37865. Funeral service 7PM Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour with Dr. Bruce Yates officiating. Interment 11AM Thursday at Huskey Grove Cemetery.
