Ammons, Anthony Jay, age 47, of South Knoxville passed away suddenly Saturday, September 16, 2006. Member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Seymour. Retired from the Maintenance Department of UT Hospital. Preceded in death by father, Willie Jay Ammons, Jr. Wife, Sherry Ammons; sons, Anthony Michael and Andrew Jay Ammons; mother, Sadie Ammons; brother, Kevin Ammons and wife, Annie; sister, Kim Ammons; mother-in-law, Geraldine Knight; brother-in-law, Monty Knight and wife Lisa; nieces and nephews, Alisha Thomas, Mickey Ammons, Sara and Jarrod Knight; special friends, Randy Hurst, Nikki Cummings, and Chad Burchell; many other family members and friends. Family and friends will meet at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Corryton Wednesday at 11:00 AM for graveside services, Rev. Duncan Carver officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home.
