Ronald Bingham

Ronald Wayne Bingham, age 63, of Knoxville passed away Thursday September 14, 2006 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City, after a long illness. He was retired from The News Sentinel and the U.S Naval Reserve. A member of South Knoxville Baptist Church. Ronald was active in various local organizations including The Springhill Community Association, Knoxville Apartment Council, the Junior Achievement Program, The Cub Scouts, and little League Baseball. Preceded in death by his father, Abraham Boyd Bingham; and mother, Alta Mae Browning Bingham. Survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Novella Crowley Bingham; son, Jason Wayne Bingham of Knoxville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Betty Bingham of Knoxville, Terry and Janet Bingham of Knoxville. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the caring hands and loving hearts at Life Care Center of Jefferson City. Special friend, Teresa Mabe; thanks also to the Dorothy Crowley family of Clinton for their love and support. Thanks to Caris Healthcare for its wonderful, attentive hospice care team. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM Monday with the funeral service to follow at 2:00PM at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Mike Welch officiating. Interment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery with full military honors by Veterans United Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be the Crowley brothers.
